VerseLocked ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information VerseLocked collects and how it's used.
No account required. VerseLocked does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the app.
What we do not collect. We do not collect your name, contacts, photos, or any other personal files. We do not have access to your payment information — purchases are processed entirely by Apple.
Bible content stays on your device. The full Bible text (KJV, WEB, and BSB translations) is bundled with the app and works entirely offline. VerseLocked does not send the verses you study, your practice results, or your memorization progress to any server.
Screen Time / app blocking. VerseLocked uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to let you block distracting apps until you complete a Bible verse. This processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's own operating system APIs. Apple's system is specifically designed so that no third-party app — including VerseLocked — can see which apps you've chosen to block, or anything about what you do inside them.
Analytics. We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how people move through VerseLocked's onboarding and subscription screens — for example, which screens are viewed and whether someone starts a free trial — so we can improve that experience. We do not track how you perform in practice sessions, which verses you study, or any other in-app activity beyond onboarding and the subscription screens. Firebase Analytics may also automatically collect standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and general (non-precise) location. This data is processed on Google's servers in the United States.
We do not sell your information. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Payments. Subscriptions are billed and processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple handles that. We receive confirmation from Apple that a subscription is active, which we use only to unlock the app's features for you. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings app under your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Legal disclosure. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process.
Children's privacy. VerseLocked is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age of digital consent in their country (13 in the United States; up to 16 in parts of the EU). If we become aware that we've collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.
International users. If you're using VerseLocked outside the United States, please be aware your analytics information (as described above) may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
